Nestled in the Rooiberge mountains of the Eastern Free State, it’s the perfect quiet escape for travellers seeking fresh air, wide views, and peaceful farm living. Guests can enjoy comfortable farmhouse accommodation with free parking, easy access by car, and a welcoming atmosphere ideal for families, couples, and groups.
The farm offers more than just a place to stay. With multiple hiking trails, mountain biking routes, and a groomed 4x4 track, Camelroc is a base for outdoor adventure in the Maluti Mountain region. Wildlife can often be spotted on the farm, while children can enjoy the dedicated kids’ playground. Whether you’re relaxing at the pool, exploring sandstone cliffs, or crossing into nearby Lesotho, Camelroc Guest Farm combines comfort, nature, and adventure in one destination.

Our story
Turning Camelroc into what it is today was a labour of love. From a simple farmhouse to a haven for guests and adventure lovers, it’s been quite the journey. And it all started with a leap of faith back in 1997.
